Many Boox Tab Ultra C users are complaining all over the internet that their devices are freezing while taking notes or reading something. By frozen here I mean the screen is on but it's not responding to touch. If this is what is happening to your boox tab, I have got some solutions that will surely fix your problem. Then let's get straight to the guide -

Fix Boox Tab Frozen and Unresponsive

Method 1

  1. If your device is frozen, first plug in the charger.
  2. Next, press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds and it will turn off. Then press and hold it for another 10 seconds and it will turn on.

That's it. The problem should be fixed. If this doesn't work move to the next solution.

Method 2

  1. Keep your device on charging
  2. Long press the power button for around 20 seconds
  3. See if it turns off and reboots itself, if it turns off but does not automatically reboot, then turn it on by pressing the power button like you usually do.

Method 3 - Using Recovery Mode

If the above method also doesn't work, you can fix your frozen Boox tab by using the recovery mode. Here is how you can enter the recovery mode -

  1. Press the power button until the light on it turns blue, and release it and again hold it for 8-10 seconds.
  2. (The screen will flash and the Onyx logo will show up)
  3. After that release the button and quickly press the power button 5 times.
  4. Wait for the device to enter recovery mode.
  5. Once in recovery mode you will see many options.
  6. Scroll up and down to switch between options and press the power button to select it.
  7. You have to select 'Reboot System Now' and press the power button once.

Now your Boox tab will reboot and it should be good to use and don't worry your data will not be erased, it's just a reboot.
