Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
Educational qualification: A bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Subject requirement: You must have studied Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Social Science, Sociology or Psychology at graduation level. Alternatively, you may qualify with a bachelor's degree in any subject and at least 50% marks in Mathematics in Class 12.
Language requirement: English and at least one of Assamese, Bengali or Bodo must have been studied in HSLC.
Computer knowledge: A computer course certificate of at least 6 months from a government-recognized institute is required, subject to the notification's exemptions.
Employment Exchange: A valid Employment Exchange registration certificate in Assam is required.
Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years old as of 1 January 2026.
Age relaxation is available for eligible categories:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-servicemen: 2 years
Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive the following pay:
Pay scale: ₹14,000 -₹70,000

Selection Process
The selection process has two stages.
Stage 1: Written Examination
Multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
Total marks: 175
Duration: 3 hours
Negative marking applies for incorrect answers.(-.25) 1/4th
Subjects include Social Studies, General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mathematics and English.
Stage 2: Computer Skill Test
Candidates shortlisted from the written examination will take a computer skill test worth 25 marks.
Final selection will be based on the marks obtained in both stages, according to the applicable merit and reservation rules.
