SGH MMUA - How to Check list name (download pdf/excel district wise)

Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan is a scheme by Assam Government shortly MMUA to empower the women of SHG Self help groups at rural level to become entrepreneurs, the Chief minister of Assam Himanta Bishwa Sarma also calls them Lakhpati Baideo. The scheme will help around 39 lakh eligible women to get upto Rs.35000 financial assistance which will help them with up to 1 Lakh rupees per year. Eligible women who is running small business activity can apply for this scheme. To do this they actually need to have a good business plan and show promising result. Its a good initiative by the Assam Government to fund new rural micro women entrepreneurs. The application process is offline conducted through Gram Panchyat/Municipality office.

Benefits of MMUA scheme 2024

  1. First, 10000 will be given to eligible applicant
  2. In second phase, Rs.12500 will be transferred to their bank account within the next 2 years.
  3. In 3rd phase, additional 12500 Rupees will be given as a loan.
  4. That makes it a total of 35000 of money under MMUA scheme.
Final assistance structure may vary as per latest govt notifications.

 

The goal is to support small-scale activities like:

  • Tailoring
  • Goat/Poultry farming
  • Food processing
  • Handicrafts
  • Local shops & trading
  • Agro-based work

MMUA eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicants must be permanent resident of Assam
  2. Children limit - Applicant should not have more than 3 children in case of General/OBC and not more than 4 children in case of ST/SC/Tea tribes/Moran and Matak category.
  3. Applicant must be an active member of a Self Help Group promoted under ASRLM.
  4. Must have an Aadhar linked bank account.
  5. Applicant must have a business plan for her business/.activity.
  6. If the applicant has girl children of school going age, then the girl(s) should be enrolled in a school.
  7. Applicants age should not be less than 18 years.
  8. Applicants annual income should not be more than 1 Lakh.

How to apply for MMUA scheme Assam?

To apply for MMUA you have to fill out a form and you can get this form at your nearest Gaon Panchyat office or Municipality office. Its free

Additionally, you have to fill out two Sankalp Patra

1. One for commitment to -
  • not have more than 2 children, if currently she has 2 children
  • not more than 3 children if she currently has 3 children (incase she is General/OBC)
  • not more than 4 children, if she belongs to ST/SC/Moran/Matak/Tea tribes community.

2. The second Sankalp Patra for pledging to admit all of her children in school when they are of school going age.

3. Additional Condition - Tree Plantation: Beneficiaries must ensure the survival of trees planted through the government’s Amrit Brikshya Andolan program.

Fill out the MMUA form, two Sankalp Patra, attach all the related documents and photos and submit it to the office.
And you are done.

If you have applied for MMUA you will get a message on your given mobile number. The message is like this - "Your MMUA Form has been submitted successfully with ref no. .... for further verification - ASRLMS"

This doesn't mean that you have been selected for the scheme but it means your application has been submitted. And you need to remember the reference number. If you get selected you will need that in future. If you get selected, a small interview will be conducted with the applicant to know how they are going to use that money.
